PhysicSolver is a computer
program designed to solve two-dimensional problems
of electrostatics and magnetostatics.
Three-dimensional problems with a planar or
axially-symmetric geometry can also be solved. The
finite element method is used to solve the problems.
The problems can include regions of any shape
containing materials with either linear or nonlinear
properties. In the case of nonlinear magnetostatics,
a magnetization table is used to describe the
nonlinear material. Saturation and ferromagnetic
effects are taken into account. A problem defined in
a domain that extends to infinity can be solved in a
finite domain by placing an artificial boundary at
some distance from the region of interest. |
